About
Five years of filling other people's rooms.
We promote dance and rave events at clubs across Ontario and Québec. We bring the artists, the audience, and the marketing — the venue brings the room.

Who we are
We started because nobody was booking what we wanted to hear.
Asian Persuasion began in 2021 as one party in a room we could barely afford. We booked the artists we wanted to see, marketed it ourselves, and sold it out. Then we did it again.
Five years on the model has not really changed. We take a room from a venue that is not using it well, put a proper night in it, and carry the risk ourselves. The venue keeps the bar and does not spend a dollar on marketing.
We programme for the floor rather than the guest list. Long sets over short ones, residents over guests where the residents are better, and a door run by people who have worked it for years.

How we got here
Five years, in order.
First party
120 people in a room we could barely afford, funded on a credit card and paid off in three months.
First residency
A standing monthly at Warehouse 88 and the beginning of the Persuasion series.
Out of Toronto
Montréal, then Ottawa. The first year we ran more nights outside the city than in it.
International bookings
Vessel's first Canadian date. Four more followed over the next eighteen months.
Twenty-four partners
The venue network reached the size where we could route an artist properly.
Five years
184 events, 96,000 tickets, nine cities, and the same booking policy.
What we do
Four services, one team.
No sub-contracted production company and no external marketing agency. Everything below happens in-house.
Talent booking
We book domestic and international artists, negotiate the fee, handle the rider, and manage travel and visas. Forty-one artists booked and not one cancelled date.
Event production
Full production on the night — sound spec, lighting design, staging, and a production lead who is in the building from load-in to load-out.
Marketing and ticketing
Announce strategy, tiered releases, paid social, and a mailing list of 11,400 that reliably clears the first tier before anything goes public.
Brand activation
We place brands inside nights that people actually want to be at, and report on what it did afterwards with door counts and dwell time rather than impressions.
The network
9 venue partners.

Questions
The ones we get most.
From venues, artists, brands, and people who just want to know the age policy.
The standard split is that we take the door and the venue keeps the bar. We cover artist fees, production, and marketing spend. Some partners prefer a flat hire plus a bar guarantee, and we are happy to work either way.
Work with us
Four inboxes, one business day.
Venues, artists, brands, and everything else go to the person who can actually answer.
